Stopped here on a Monday afternoon Round 4:30 and surprisingly it was empty. I've been wanting to try their Monday special which is 4 tacos for $5.50. They still have the special but tacos are now chicken tacos and it's $5.72 for 4 which is still a great deal for street tacos! Tacos were really good w their house red or green salsa. Green is pretty spicy but I love it! Wife got tamales which she said were very good as well. The interior is very nice w some photos and decorations along the walls. Nice place to eat at. Service was very good so no complaints there.

My wife came to pick me up from the Yelp Elite Hana Garden event and got dinner here. Then she got a call and NEVER touched her dinner... So I guess we got lunch for tomorrow, lol. Quality/Quantity - Chicken Burrito - Generous size. Generous amount of chicken (and rice), almost no veggies though, so not perfectly balanced in my opinion. See picture. Also where were the beans and pico de gallo in the burrito? Again, see picture. There was also so little sauce for this huge burrito??? Well neither of us liked the sauce, but we also just came back from Trader Joes and got two different types of salsas. Plus when we were in CA, we brought back 8 avocados. So we made an amazing sauce which took this meal to 5 stars. Atmosphere - Good size local business. Plenty of mall parking, even with a huge Yelp event going on. Indoor seating only, table or bar. Open 6 days a week from 11am to 9pm, closed Tuesdays. Yelp hours differ slightly. Cool decor. Service - 5 stars. My wife met with the owner and he was very welcoming. He had many suggestive sells. They also have a loyalty program, see website. Price - $17, expensive for what she got, but a good deal for us as it is enough food for two as we are light eaters. BTW - I think your online prices need to be updated. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 2012.

Best Mexican food I think I've ever had! Our meal started with super smooth and flavorful salsa with fresh tortilla chips. I ordered the carnitas and was not disappointed. The meat was tender and delicious and the portion was just perfect. The rice and beans with the carnitas was so good I skipped the tortillas and just ate with my fork. My husband agrees the food was amazing. He ordered a chomichanga that was perfectly fried and stuffed full with meat and cheese! Nothing short of a phenomenal meal! Thank you Danny Boy for a great meal!

Five stars, easily. 10/10 overall dining experience. What a gem of a restaurant! I am so glad we stumbled onto one of the only places open on the 4th of July, because we were so happy when we left this place. We ordered a Cadillac margarita (10/10) and a house spicy margarita made with their own tequila (8/10). Then we moved to chips, salsa and guacamole which was simply wonderful. For entrees, we had the shredded beef Flautas (10/10, so flavorful and delicious) and the Danny Boy fajitas (8/10). We were so full and satisfied after, so we didn't even have room for dessert. But we will definitely be coming back again soon. We live in Los Angeles, CA and so are accustomed to some of the best and most authentic Mexican food in the world. Macho Tequila's is one of the best of the best, and could easily go head to head with any authentic Mexican restaurant in Mexico, California and Nevada. What a gift to Sparks this place is, and a gift to the greater Reno area. One of the best restaurants in the greater Reno, NV area. I simply loved it! Thanks for such a memorable July 4th meal!!!

My husband and I stopped here kind of randomly, we were in the area and starving and looking for good Mexican food. Well we found it! We got the bean and cheese dip to snack on while we waited for our food, it was perfectly browned on top, toasty and very tasty. The waiter was really nice and checked on us often. We were only one of 3 total parties there, I think we picked a good time to get Linner (lunch+dinner). There was a lot of art on the walls and streamers hung from the ceiling, it felt like a party! I want to go back and get some Guava margs to go... but this place is great, definitely a place to check out if you're hungry.

I have only done takeout, but this has quickly become one of my favorite burritos in town. The vibe is a dive bar, which can be fun in its own way. The employees are always kind and helpful. Call ahead to see if they have al pastor because they run out fast!

We were craving mexican food for dinner with a friend who lives nearby this place. The reviews sounded good and the food described as authentic. We arrived at 7pm on a Wednesday. It was not busy and our host who seated us was friendly. I really liked the "old school" vibe inside. I decided to try the #11 Carnita plate. The carnita meat was flavorful and not greasy. The beans were so good and even though I've never had mexican rice served white in color, it tasted great also. I only wish that my meat was a little less dry. My friend ordered the Chicken Fajita platter and she really enjoyed it. Huge portion of food and the flour tortillas were homemade! Our server was by himself the entire time managing the bar, seating and waiting tables. He had a great personality and asked us a few times how we were doing. Nice guy! I would return here again next time we're in town. I hear they have great chile relleños.

It was a snowy night before the Nevada basketball game. Except for us there was only one other table. I guess people didn't want to go out and drive. Lucky for us we had the place all to ourselves. Not lucky for the owners. When the roads are good, you need to get yourself over here! The skinny margarita was amazing. So was my large serving of chicken fajitas. There was a surprise in my first bite. Sweetness. What was that? After another bite I realized it was pineapple! Not large pieces, but small enough to turn your head. That was a great addition to the fresh veggies and tender chicken. Now, that was different! This dish easily could've been shared. My husband had the veggie burrito. That was also large and he packed up half to take with us. I wish we had room to taste the flan. Next time. We noticed and enjoyed the piped in Latin music. There's plenty of seating and room to accommodate groups. Like I said, get yourself over here!
